Below you’ll find some of the best metabolism-boosting ingredients that I’ve found start my day off on the right foot. Use my list of the best ingredients to add an extra boost to your daily smoothie.

10 Metabolism-Boosting Ingredients to Add to Your Smoothies

Green Tea/Matcha

Green tea has amazing fat burning properties that also kick start your metabolism. Consider adding green tea to your morning smoothie. This gives me a huge metabolism and energy boost to get through the day.

Grapefruit

It’s been shown time and time again that people who eat grapefruit tend to lose weight. While grapefruit juice is a perfectly acceptable backup option to boost your metabolism, it’s best to add the whole grapefruit into your smoothies so it’s digested as a food rather than a juice for maximum weight loss.

Pineapple

Pineapples are high in Vitamin C, and this is a natural metabolism-boosting nutrient. Adding some pineapple into your morning smoothies will give you that extra energy boost to last all day all the while working to help you keep that metabolism working hard.

Green Banana

Green bananas are an excellent option to boost your metabolism because they’re higher in resistant starch and have fewer simple sugars than yellow bananas. I also like to freeze my bananas for an extra smooth, creamy texture.

Spinach

I’m a huge advocate for green smoothies as they pack a huge punch when it comes to getting your metabolism boosted for maximum weight loss. Adding spinach to your breakfast smoothie will provide your body with protein, iron, and calcium to give your body that nutrient boost necessary for maximum health.

Kale

This is a fabulous option for any green metabolism-boosting smoothie as it’s packed with Vitamin C. This nutrient is well-known for assisting in giving your metabolism a jumpstart. Consider adding some kale into your morning smoothie to see how you enjoy this flavorful option for green smoothies.

Whey Protein

I love adding Orgain Organic Protein & Superfoods Plant Based Protein Powder to my Estrogen Balancing Smoothie to ensure I’m getting enough strength for my busy workday. The fun thing about this option for metabolism-boosting ingredients is that whey protein is flavorless so you can add it into any smoothie without compromising your preferred flavor.

Ginger

Ginger is a very powerful anti-inflammatory option that can boost your metabolism and help you stay healthy all year round. Adding ginger into my favorite smoothie always provides a unique flavor and health boost to my day. Ginger helps keep the body working properly all the while helping you strengthen your metabolism.

Greek Yogurt

This metabolism-boosting ingredient for your smoothie must be kept on hand at all times. The properties of Greek Yogurt help maintain proper gut health all the while shutting down fat storage while it turns on fat-burning properties within your body.

These are just my favorite metabolism-boosting ingredients for your smoothies, but I’m sure you may have some ingredients that you swear by too. Use my list as a reference to start whipping up fat burning smoothies every morning to ensure you’re maintaining a healthy lifestyle and working to burn fat for a healthier weight.
