Fisetin is an antioxidant and flavonoid that supports healthy aging. It works by preventing replication of senolytic activity (damaged DNA). Fisetin may also help with fighting chronic disease, heart health, reducing inflammation, and inhibiting tumor cell growth.

How does Fisetin Work?
Senescent cells are cells that have gone into a state of permanent growth arrest. This growth arrest can increase the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, with detrimental effects to tissue and has been related to aging. Fisetin is a polyphenol (a largely beneficial compound) found in many delicious foods, like strawberries and apples. Research has shown that fisetin is a potent senolytic, which can selectively induce the death of senescent cells. Research in rats showed that fisetin supplementation can reduce age-related pathology and extend lifespan. Besides eating more produce (which we all could do!), you can take a fisetin supplement as part of your longevity program. A great fisetin supplement that also contains the senolytic Quercetin and polyphenol Curcumin is Qualia Senolytic. The safest way to increase your fisetin intake is through food. The risks and side effects to taking fisetin supplements are not known. Try a strawberry smoothie or incorporate more of these foods into your diet:
